5. You help a dog or cat overcome the stress of being abandoned at a shelter.

6. In some cases you help a dog or cat get the rest and relaxation they need to recover from being sick or injured.

Please read the following disclaimer and sign below if you agree to all terms and conditions; I understand that I am the caregiver of any foster pet in my home, however, the animal belongs to the Leitchfield Animal Shelter and is to be given back to them upon request. If at any time I feel that I can no longer foster the animal, I will contact the Leitchfield Animal Shelter to arrange pick up or drop off. I will NOT give the foster animal to anyone other than the Leitchfield Animal Shelter. If an animal in my care is not altered, I will not use if for breeding purposes or let it near other unaltered animals. I will not administer any medication to the animal without the permission of the Leitchfield Animal Shelter. I will treat the animal with respect and compassion at all times and care for it to the best of my ability. I will NOT put the animal in danger, neglect, or chain it. I understand that the Leitchfield Animal Shelter will provide food, litter, or other basic needs for the animal while in my care and those things are to be used for the foster animal only. In the even that an injury is caused by the animal, I will not bring legal action upon the Leitchfield Animal Shelter. I will report all bites that break the skin or any behavioral issues of the foster animal immediately to the Leitchfield Animal Shelter and they will make other arrangements for the animal if need be.
